🥧 Desserts to Steal the Show (Cyclone or Not!)

Hey there!

If you noticed my usual Saturday treats email was MIA, it’s because a bomb cyclone hit the Pacific Northwest, and, well, life got a little wild. 🌬️ Thankfully, all the trees on our property stayed strong, and other than a few days of power outages, we are all safe!

But the desserts can't wait—so here we are today, right on time to sweeten up your Thanksgiving plans!

I’ve put together a list of my favorite easy Thanksgiving desserts, guaranteed to end your feast on a high note (and maybe snag you a few compliments along the way).

🍂 This pecan pie cheesecake is the best of both worlds—pecan pie meets cheesecake in a buttery crust that’s sure to spark conversation.

🍋 Want a slice of summer for Thanksgiving? This lemon icebox pie is light, tangy, and the perfect post-feast refresher. Bonus? It’s as easy as it gets.

🎃 Want an easy and unbeatable pumpkin pie? Try this creamy twist on the ultimate Thanksgiving staple. Add whipped cream, and you’ve got dessert perfection.

🍎 More in the mood for an apple pie? Try this easy version with a Graham cracker crust. Warm spiced apples in a golden, nutty crust—basically a hug in pie form.

🍏 Need something quick and easy? This family favorite Bisquick apple cobbler has you covered, no matter how last-minute.

🍠 My favorite? This runaway hit, which is a Thanksgiving classic elevated thanks to TikTok, and I bet it'll have everyone asking for the recipe. Seriously.

Oh, and if you need a nifty pie carrier, my favorite is on sale for Black Friday! Yes, this is an affiliate link but I only share what I love!

Hope you find something here to love (or at least save room for!). Happy baking and enjoy the sweetest part of Thanksgiving!

Toodles,
Shruthi

Seasonal + global vegetarian recipes for real life! Hello Reader, I'm not going to pretend to be chill about this. The Seahawks are in the Super Bowl. TOMORROW. I will probably be a wreck tomorrow. But you know what I am calm about? The food. Here's what I'm prepping today: The main event: Korean Fried Cauliflower — Sweet, sticky, crispy, and the thing my meat-eating friends ask me to make. Prepping the sauce today, frying right before kickoff. The dip situation: Instant Pot Queso with Air...

Hey there, Reader - Summer's finally here, and so is the best produce of the season! June is one of the best months for seasonal produce (in the US, at least). I have a longer list of what's in season below (and recipes to cook with them in this seasonal produce guide) but let me share my favorites below. First up, we have strawberries. These little red gems are at their juiciest right now. Whether you're tossing them into a salad or baking up a batch of my strawberry shortcake cookies (hint,...

Hi Reader - We had a bit of a false start to Spring here, but then it's cold again. So I just made this roasted vegetable salad! This is not your average salad, mind you, because it features rainbow veggies, is packed with nutrients, and has a delightful smoky flavor and satisfying crunch. Did I mention it's easily customizable, perfect for meal prep, and simple enough for a weeknight dinner? You can also serve it hot or cold, and mix up the salad dressings or veggies used. Try it today and...
